Internationally-renowned fabric designer Kevin O'Brien brings his original designs to the Capel collection. His signature style echoes through the use of natural themes and materials in our five exclusive collections.
This line of fashion-forward area rugs features O'Brien's original designs, faithfully rendered by Capel's team of skilled artisans. Capel's partnership with O'Brien is his first official licensing partnership in the area rug industry.
O'Brien, who began his career as an architect and painter, has worked in the design business for more than 20 years, and his products are currently carried in places such as Anthropologie, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, ABC Carpet & Home, Bloomingdales, Gumps and Barneys. His Philadelphia studio's designs are known for their unique style and use of natural themes and materials, which has carried over into his new collections with Capel.
The debut collections feature transitional and contemporary designs constructed using wool and wool/viscose blends. Designed for customers who have great taste yet want affordable products, the 'Kevin O'Brien for Capel Rugs' line offers collections with a hip, downtown vibe as well as collections that are more tranquil and serene.
